No catch.  Our free Online Directory is just that – free!

 

 

What do we have to do to receive Lifetouch’s free Online Directory?                    (Return to Top)

Simple!  Schedule and complete a new Lifetouch Church Directory program.  You’ll choose what’s best for your church – a free printed Directory, a free Online Directory, or both!

 

 

How long will this directory be free to us?                                                                    (Return to Top)

The free online directory will be hosted and maintained by Lifetouch, free of charge, for 36 months from the time the online directory is delivered to your church.  At the end of the 36 month period a new directory program will be required to keep the directory hosted and maintained by Lifetouch at no charge to you.

 

 

Will this directory only have families who have photos taken for the directory?   (Return to Top)

No.  All current families in your church roster will be included in the directory.  Additionally, new families who are not in the roster, but were photographed for the directory, will appear in the online directory.  

 

 

What about privacy and protecting our information…is the free Online Directory secure? 

  • Yes!  Your online directory is hosted in a state-of-the-art secure data center deploying a variety of physical and logical security measures built to protect your data.  This data center is SAS70 Type II compliant.  This means that it follows policies, procedures, and business processes recognized as best practices for providing a secure, stable data center environment. 
  • Every church family will have their own unique user name and password. Unlike other companies that issue a single user I.D. shared by the entire congregation, our Online Directory enables the church administration exclusive control as to who has access to the directory.
  • Another unique security feature with Lifetouch’s Online Directory is allowing family members to select what will be displayed for other families to view on the Directory.  Members can choose to hide any or all family information from displaying in the directory (including the photo).  The initial population of the directory will only display the directory portrait and the family name as it appears in the church roster.  All other information will be defaulted to not display.  Many church members (such as Police Officers, Attorneys and Teachers) have shared their appreciation for this added privacy feature.  (Note: Church Administration will have access to all information.)

Can we update the directory?                                                                                          (Return to Top)

Yes.  Church Administrators can add new families, delete families or edit family information at any time.  Additionally, your families can update their own roster or password information.

Whether it’s new families who’ve joined your church or existing members who’d like their image updated, there’s no need to wait until the next directory program to get new, high quality family portraiture added to your Online Directory at no extra cost.  Your Lifetouch Church Consultant will explain how simple it is!

 

 

If we submitted photos for our printed directory will those appear in the Online Directory? 

Yes. All images that were submitted with your current directory will automatically be included in your Online Directory.  (Note: Submitted photos that were not included with your current directory may be added to your Online Directory, one time only, for a minimal submittal fee.)

Yes! The link to the Online Directory can be placed on your church website. Additionally, a link back to your church website can appear on the Online Directory!

 

 

Can the images from the Online Directory be used in a bulletin, newsletter or PowerPoint?

How do I use the demo site for the Free Online Directory?                          (Return to Top)

Go to the login page at (http://www.churchconnections.lifetouch.com/login).  There are 20 member families set up with user names user1 through user20.  (The password is the same as the user name for ease of use in this demo.)  So if you want to log in as “user1” you will enter: user1 in the “User Name” window. Next, enter: user1 in the “Password” window (this is case sensitive).  At the login screen try out a few user logins to see what different families may see when they enter your online directory.

The Update functions will be turned off (submit buttons will not appear on the screen) for the demo site so the system can remain in tact for anyone who wants to view the demo directory.

Although you can enter the system with any user name (user1 - 20), accessing the site by using the following users will enable you to explore the most functionality:

user1 is for Dave & Terri Anderson. They are Admin Users so they can edit any member profile. They can also see who has requested a new portrait session. The Anderson's have chosen to hide their Home Address. So when you look at their pictorial profile you will not see the address. However, since they are Admin Users you can see the home address in the roster listing. Notice the first member in the listing Adams, Bill. If you edit this profile and go down to the bottom you will see that they chose not to be visible in the directory. The Anderson's can see this member because they have admin privileges. As admin users, Dave and Terri can Edit the member information - even if the member is hidden.

user3 is for Joe & Sue Alberts. They are NOT Admin Users so they can only Edit their Own profile. They cannot see who has requested a new portrait session for anyone except themselves (they have requested a New Portrait session…see the Edit profile screen). They cannot see the Anderson's Home Address in the member pictorial listing or the Roster listing. Notice that Adams, Bill is not visible to the Alberts because they do not have admin privileges.

user9 is for Phillip & Mary Greene. They are NOT Admin Users so they can only Edit their Own profile. They cannot see who has requested a new portrait session. The Greene’s have not requested a new session therefore, they have a button to press if they’re interested in a new portrait session. They cannot see the Anderson's Home Address in the member pictorial listing or the Roster listing. Notice that Adams, Bill is not visible to the Greene’s because they do not have admin privileges.
